Special Events
For a small village, special events are the vital heartbeat that transforms quiet streets into a shared living room and turns neighbors into family.
Summer Day Camp
For six weeks each summer, Poynette Parks and Recreation offers week-long day camps for children of all abilities, ranging from ages 7 to 11.
Children aged 12-14 will have the opportunity to be leaders in training, meaning they will help our counselors conduct activities and may even get the opportunity to lead the group in activities.
Campers will enjoy outdoor fun, rain or shine, every day during a week of Day Camp! Daily activities will relate to our weekly theme and will include walks, crafts, games, and other meaningful and engaging activities. Campers should bring snacks and a lunch daily. Our program offers several field trips, including transportation via school bus or walking.
